Once we pass this canal, though, I’m sure we’ll still see this conflict play out in full force. Of course, that makes it a rather unique case in this world. With the Sirens’ appearance and the formation of the Azur Lane, the use and maintenance of this canal was converted into a public, international project. If matters were left in the hands of the Iron Blood, Sardegna, and the Royal Navy, all-out war would’ve broken out. Of course, this Canal has changed hands many times as a result of these geopolitical disputes. Despite most of the ocean being hotly contested between various factions, this incredibly important canal is largely free from such power struggles. The situation here is rather complicated. What’s so unusual about that? Yukikaze the Great goes wherever she pleases anyway. Mm, it’s a bit of a miracle isn’t it? A supposedly neutral canal where anyone can pass through, regardless of their alliances. To think that there was a time when one could not access the Méditerranée through this canal.
